Regular price £185.00 Sale

An absolutely stunning, true vintage 1940s two-piece skirt suit, perfect for vintage weekenders. Originally retailed by the historic Meier & Frank Co. of Portland, Oregon, this set is a beautifully preserved piece of mid-century fashion history.

In high-quality, heavy-drape navy blue gabardine fabric, the tailored jacket features incredibly unique Art Deco curved topstitching details to the front panels, complete with matching fabric-covered decorative teardrop accents at the chest.

Classic wartime tailoring with structured, strong padded shoulders, a beautifully nipped-in waist, and a slight peplum flare over the hips. The bodice features a lovely rounded, scalloped Peter Pan collar and closes down the centre with five large, flawless fabric-covered buttons.

The matching A-line straight midi skirt fastens with a metal zip and button to the side waist. Jacket is fully lined, with Meier & Frank Co, Portland Oregon label at the inside back of neck. Skirt is unlined.
